TRIP ADVISER CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE 2013 FOR LAUREL HOUSELaurel House, built in 1750, is a traditional Cumbriam farmhouse, where we offer a warm welcome, and a comfortable and tranquil stay for the discerning traveller.Our recently upgraded bedrooms are elegant and spacious, and well appointed with either Kingsize or Superking size beds all complete with luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding,and each room has private modern bathroom or shower room, supplied with large luxury towels, heated towel rails, bathrobes and quality toiletries.Flatscreen TV's, safes, hairdryers, trouser presses, radio alarm clocks and teacoffee facilities are standard in all rooms along with comfortable seating areas complete with tub armchairs and footstools.Alex's traditional Cumbrian breakfasts, along with Jeff's homemade bread, were awarded a Visit Britain Breakfast Award in 2010.Served in our Orangery conservatory it consists of fresh fruit, locally sourced produce, fresh coffee breakfast tea, with a vegetarian option.The comfort and ambience of Laurel House was recognised by Visit Britain in 2010 by a 4 Star Gold Award rating, and a prestigous award of 5 Stars in 2011.Just 10 minutes from J40 of the M6, in the Eden Valley viilage of Culgaith, we are ideally placed for visiting family staying at Center Parcs, as an ovenight stay on the way to Scotland, or for local hiking and fishing.Free WiFi and limited private off road parking is available.We are an Adult only B and B (no children), we cannot accommodate bookings for early morning Dalemain Ballon Flights, pets, or arrivals after 9pm. As we are a small luxury private house we do not have a night porter, and therefore we lock our doors at 11.30pm for the comfort of all guests.

TRAVEL 7 MILES EAST ALONG THE A66 FROM J40 OF THE M6, THEN TURN LEFT AT THE START OF THE TEMPLE SOWERBY BYPASS ONTO THE B6412. FOLLOW CULGAITH SIGNS PAST THE GARDEN CENTRE, ACROSS THE RAILWAY, AND TURN 1ST RIGHT AFTER THE 30 MPH SIGN, ONTO THE ROAD TO SKIRWITH. WE ARE 25 YARDS ON THE LEFT NEXT TO THE VILLAGE HALL.
