Bank House is a large beautiful period house with original terraced gardens, which enjoys magnificent views over the town to the Lakedistrict beyond. Rooms are large and beautifully decorated. and ensuites where possible are roomy and all have double sized showers . In the morning from your period dining room you can enjoy an absolutely excellently and imaginatively cooked breakfast with several home baked breads for you to choose from. An absolutely fresh fruit salad prepared that morning and freshly squeezed orange juice, followed by a cooked breakfast from a large choice including several vegetarian options. Food is sourced locally and we have a wide selection of local jams chutneys and sauces some award winning. All the teas coffee and sugars are fairtrade. All rooms have TVDVD -room one has wide screen digital and dvd, and we have a large selection of DVDs for you to borrow free of charge which we try to update regularly. Bank House is a NON smoking residence through out the house. You are not permitted to smoke on the premises or in your room.

Directions

From M6 jct 40 take the first exit for Penrith. Go straight across mini-roundabout and pass Wickes store on left then station on left. Bear left at next mini- roundabout up hill for 100 yds to next mini-roundabout. Go straight across, look for WCF store on left and Morrisons on right. Straight on down hill into town. At bottom of hill bear left, keep in RHS lane double back towards town and take 1st left into Portland Place. At mini roundabout turn left and take second right into Graham Street. Bank House is three quarters of the way up on the right hand side just before the bend.
